Grupo Petroquímico Beta (GPB) is a Mexican company created in 2005 for the refining and sale of light hydrocarbons (solvents) and the manufacture of alcoxylates and their specialties. The extensive experience of GPB staff in the design, construction and operation of alcoxylated product plants allows them to be unique in this industry. GPB distinguishes itself in the alcoxylation industry by having its own Research, Development and Innovation laboratory to collaborate with its customers in creating and developing their products for market introduction. GPB has received several awards from public bodies and customers for its excellence in innovation, the safety of its processes and logistics services.

We manufacture a range of rosin resins and hydrocarbon derivatives which are well established and proven in the personal care market as adhesion promoters, skin conditioners and film formers.

Rosin resins are used in depilatories, makeup, and hair-grooming products, where they function as tackifiers, skin conditioners, or emulsifying agents. Our products help make mascara and lipstick wearable for longer, make lipstick glossy, and help deodorants hold their fragrance.

Our products come from multiple sources. For example, our gum rosin is harvested from live pine trees using a negative carbon process; our hydrocarbon resin is petroleum-based; and our plasticisers and fragrance fixatives are plant-based.
